Erected in 1965. Under the name, Dixon Gospel Temple.

In 1980-81, Reverend David Bowen resided as senior pastor. Of whom the land was purchased by in 1964 Where his son Allan Bowen, became a youth teacher, camp counselor, junior pastor, then on to Precede his father in 1990, and Became the senior Pastor and has been to the present day along with his beloved wife, Irene Bowen. Allen is a 4th generation ordained minister.

Alan Dale Bowen. was called by God at the very young age of 7 where he was given the gift of speaking in tongues. Preached his first sermon at eleven years of age, by the age of sixteen, he was under the wing of his father, Reverend David Bowen. After university, where he met his beloved wife Irene, they were called to Quebec. There, they started 2 families, one in their home and the other in the church as one of the founders of this church it was one of the largest churches in the area at the time and still stands today. Allan and his wife became pillars of that community and upon coming back to Toronto became pillars of this community. From distribution of flowers to starting food banks in low income neighborhoods as well as in this current church. To organizing prayer walks in troubled neighborhoods with the Toronto Police Departments and the Mayor of Toronto. All along, they have maintained a faithful relationship with Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Now Allen is 79 yrs old, a faithful shepherd, with strength and passion to lead all who enters into this building to Christ, by any means necessary, with a caring respectful attitude. Jesus says come as you are, and our beloved pastor has maintained that moto. Pastor Bowen has been an excellent example of Proverbs 22:6 train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
